Rebecca and Jonathan Reiter with their children Jory, 3 and 1/2, and Nava, 9 months.

We spoke to Rebecca and Jonathan Reiter about their favorite Jewish activities, their connection to Jewish community, and the ways jkidphilly has impacted their family.

What do you enjoy about jkidphilly?

We especially love jkidphilly programs. The highlight for us is meeting other Jewish families in our area. We have begun to feel more connected to our community because of the exposure we get at these jkidphilly programs.

What kind of Jewish activities do you enjoy at home?

We enjoy doing Shabbat as a family, putting pj library radio on, and reading our PJ Library books. We also try and make crafts or sweet treat at holiday time.

What are your favorite PJ Library books?

Currently our favorite PJ Library book is “The Animals’ Ark” by Marianne Dubuc. Jory loves to read this one to Nava every day and Nava seems to look forward to hearing her big sister telling the story!

What do you think other parents should know about jkidphilly?

jkidphilly provides exposure to so many aspects of Jewish fife. The programming provides a great opportunity to meet and connect with families in your area. The monthly newsletters are always full of at-home ideas to incorporate Judaism into family routines. jkidphilly has so many resources – it’s a challenge to take advantage of them all.
