We spoke to Lauren and Ashley Gibbs about their favorite Jewish activities, their connection to Jewish community, and the ways jkidphilly has impacted their family.
What do you enjoy about jkidphilly?
We love jkidphilly! The play dates are always so much fun – especially at the library and parks. We love the crafts! Mommy also loves the ‘Moms Night Out’ programs!
What kind of Jewish activities do you enjoy at home?
At home, we enjoy celebrating the Jewish holidays by making special foods. Blake is a great helper and can even braid challah! We also read our PJ books and sing holiday songs — most recently, Passover songs.
What are your favorite PJ Library books?
Our current favorite is Bubbe’s Got the Beat. Blake has it memorized!
What do you think other parents should know about jkidphilly?
jkidphilly is a fun way to keep connected to other Jewish families and introduce Judaism in a low-key way to young children.
