About Mimouna
Many of us look forward to eating chametz (leavened foods) when Passover ends, but did you know that in Morocco and other North African countries, Jews mark the return of eating chametz with a holiday called Mimouna? Jews celebrate by preparing a huge feast of leavened foods, especially the Moroccan Jewish pancake known as moufleta. It’s a holiday filled with symbols of luck, fertility, community, and joy!
