We spoke to Meryl and Brad Tucker about their favorite Jewish activities, their connection to Jewish community, and the ways jkidphilly has impacted their family.
What do you enjoy about jkidphilly?
We enjoy attending jkidphilly programming in the neighborhood. It’s a wonderful opportunity to spend time with other local families learning about and enjoying Jewish culture. The boys (Cole and Luke) especially enjoy the music classes where they have an opportunity to get their wiggles out.
What kind of Jewish activities do you enjoy at home?
We go to Music Monkey Jungle’s Kinderlach Rock Shabbat often… shakers, grape juice and challah – what more could you ask for?! The boys also enjoy filling up their PJ Library tzedekah boxes and of course turning them into shakers.
What are your favorite PJ Library books?
The boys love looking at the pictures in My First Shabbat Board Book. I enjoy reading the holiday specific books with them around each holiday.
Have you connecdted with other jkidphilly families?
Yes! We have connected with a number of families who live nearby and have kids around the same age as ours. It’s always fun running into familiar faces in the neighborhood.
