Description: Admission to NMAJH will be free on July 4th from 10 am – 5 pm and there will be lots of fun arts and crafts and interactive programs for families to celebrate Independence Day. Visitors can explore the diverse backgrounds and experiences of Jews in this country in the museum’s core exhibition, view an original letter about religious freedom written by George Washington to the Hebrew Congregation in Newport, Rhode Island in 1790, munch on lemon ice pops, paint American flags, and watch the parade from the museum’s terrace overlooking Independence Mall. All are welcome!
