Description: Shine a Light!

Shining a light on hate to make our world safer and kinder takes all of us. Join jkid4all, The Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History, and Jewish Federation of North America on Monday, December 26th, 3:30pm to 5:00pm for an afternoon of learning about light.

This free family event will highlight the history and customs of Hanukkah, including stories of communities standing up for their Jewish neighbors at Hanukkah. We will also explore the history and customs of Kwanzaa, an African-American celebration of heritage, culture, and community with educator Elaine Johnson. Included will be a light-themed take-home craft activity. The event will culminate with the lighting of both the Kinara and the Hanukkah menorah.

Location: An indoor location in Center City; please register for the exact address.
