Description: Join Parent Ambassadors Bari Jacobson, Nadine Barskiy, and Donna Palmieri for a fun and interactive after school monthly zoom club! Right from your kitchen, we will make an easy and fun no-bake edible creation that goes along with our monthly theme, and read a story while enjoying it.

The theme this month is Passover and we are making Charoset! Grab your PJ Library apron, or any apron, and register to join us Thursday, April 7!

Ingredients:

  • 2 apples – peeled and cored, then grated or chopped
  • 1/2 – 1 cup walnuts – pieces or roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup medjool dates – finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup sweet wine (i.e. Manischewitz) or red grape juice (i.e. Kedem)
  • 1 tsp cinnamon 1/2 tbsp honey a squeeze of fresh lemon juice

Plus:

  • bowl
  • knife (optional: grater for the apples, mortar and pestal for the nuts)
  • spoon
  • Optional: apron (PJ or other)
  • …and some crackers to enjoy your charoset with! :)
