The Vogels spoke about their favorite Jewish activities, their connection to Jewish community, and the ways jkidphilly has impacted their family.

What do you enjoy about jkidphilly?

We love the Mitzvah programs that involve art projects and meaningful connections to gratitude and giving back to those in need. The girls especially enjoy meeting new people and learning about Jewish values.

What kind of Jewish activities do you enjoy at home?

We enjoy all Jewish traditions that involve meals and food! The girls’ Bubbe cooks their favorite Matzoh Ball Soup on many Jewish holidays. We also enjoy having friends over for Shabbat to light candles and say Motzi over Challah. We have many Tzedekah boxes, and even Josie likes to put coins into the slot.

Are you part of any other organized Jewish communities?

Yes – Temple Sinai, Ramah Day Camp, Ramah Poconos

What do you think other parents should know about jkidphilly?

It’s a great way to meet other families and engage your children in meaningful activities. Additionally, PJ Library books often have such good themes and for young children language patterns that are engaging and fun to read together.
