Description: Rosh Hashanah is a sacred invitation to gather for the entire community, but the crowds, sounds, smells, and long hours in services, demand a thoughtful and proactive design for sensory differences. Every BODY has sensory needs. Adoughma and the team at Jewish Learning Venture, with support from the Covenant Foundation and input from dozens of educators around the country, have created a ready-made kit for a self-guided, sensory play experience, whether in the classroom, prayer service or quiet, sensory-space on Rosh Hashanah.

Adoughma believes that Jewish sensory play invites everyone to the table to create, connect and enjoy Jewish holidays, rituals, stories and symbols together. We design accessible learning experiences to introduce and meaningfully reinforce Jewish content through supported sensory-regulating play.

Adoughma integrates science-backed strategies from our Advisory Board of experts to scaffold and support learners of all ages and abilities in creative and content-rich play.

This summer, you are invited to deepen existing skills and knowledge on how to design sensory-friendly and accessible experiences for every BODY on the High Holy Days.

Training sessions will be $36 or complimentary for institutions purchasing the Rosh Hashanah sensory play kit. Sessions will be offered August 5, 8-9:30 PM and August 17, 12:00 – 1:30 PM.

Each kit contains a sharing-size amount of materials and ready to use dough for playing and can be used by as many as 10 individuals (children and/or adults!) at one table.

In the, kit you will find:
Visual prompts for playing and how to clean up
Hebrew letter + vowel sound cards
Curated manipulatives + tools to spark conversations and connections to Rosh Hashanah
Creative Challenge cards to deepen exploration on themes of Rosh Hashanah like symbols [simanim] + personal reflection [teshuvah]
Homemade Dough (containing gluten) made with love by your friends in Philly
Hand sanitizer + wipes (to help with the cleaning up part)

Kits will cost $180 and ship August 1.
