Description: Gender identity is a topic that was rarely discussed a generation ago. In today’s times there is a lot of information about social messaging, gendered toys, language, and children’s evolving emotional needs. It can get confusing. This session, designed for teachers, parents, and caregivers of young children, will help you understand and support your children as they learn and grow in understanding of their own bodies.
This session is taught by Galia Godel, program manager of the LGBTQ Initiative at Jewish Family and Children’s Service of Greater Philadelphia. Galia provides LGBTQ cultural competency trainings, diversity and inclusion workshops for youth and adults, and directs J.Proud, the Philadelphia consortium of Jewish organizations committed to LGBTQ inclusion.
