Description: Join Russian jkidphilly at Art in the Pod for this special Mom’s Night Out. In this workshop you will be instructed on the basic techniques of glass cutting and use decorative mediums such as frit and enamels to embellish your creation. Create two Glass Mezuzahs. If time allows, you will be able to make a total of four Mezuzahs. Each of your finished Mezuzahs can be up to 8 inches tall. Brief instructions will be provided followed by up to 2 hours of studio time to execute your design or practice your techniques. Mezuzahs will be designed to fit traditional sized scrolls which can be purchased at your local Temple store. Create your own designs using the glass the studio has available on hand. All tools will be supplied. Glass fusion projects will need to be fired in the studio kiln. You will be called when they are ready to be picked up. There is limited capacity and you must register and pre-pay to attend. Light Snacks and Wine will be provided.
