We spoke to Jessica Erfer and Michael Gonen about their favorite Jewish activities, their connection to Jewish community, and the ways jkidphilly has impacted their family.
What do you enjoy about jkidphilly?
We love the music and art programs organized in our neighborhood. They help to keep our active kid engaged and we get to spend time with friends.
What kind of Jewish activities do you enjoy at home?
Jack, 4, likes the CD made for him by his Hebrew teacher at Adath Israel and he also likes lighting the candles. He REALLY likes lighting the Hanukkah candles.
What are your favorite PJ Library books?
Without a doubt, Baby Be Kind – one of the best books we have in our home.
Are you part of any other organized Jewish communities?
Jack currently attends Jewish preschool at Adath Israel.
What do you think other parents should know about jkidphilly?
jkidphilly is a great way to get involved in your community in a variety of ways – art activities, music classes, community service. There’s something for everyone and every event has been well organized and executed.
