1loaf of plain or raisin challah breadif baked fresh, allow it to sit for at least one day
7large eggs
1tsppure vanilla extract
½tspof nutmeg
1cupof milk
3tspof ground cinnamon
Powdered sugar
Instructions
Cut Challah into 1-inch-thick slices
In medium dish mix eggs, vanilla extract, nutmeg, milk, and cinnamon
Place cut challah into dish, ensuring the egg batter covers both sides
Only soak what can fit in the pan and do not over soak
Melt butter or preferred oil on griddle or large pan
Add soaked challah and cook both sides until golden brown (2-3 minutes each)
Sprinkle powdered sugar over cook challah and enjoy

Challah French toast is a delicious breakfast item that is simple to make. This recipe started in my home as a way to utilize remaining challah from Shabbat.
