Description: This series explores Israel in a new way – through the five senses and through Israel’s heart and soul – her people.

Put the kids to bed and get ready for real talk. Shmuel Levi, aka Shmulik, was a commander in the Israeli army. Shmulik will give us a window into his inner thoughts and questions as a young man who went to war. He will share his memories via film clips and live conversation.

Through selected scenes of his one-man play Memories, Shmulik exposes the complexity of life in Israel and sensitively portrays a complicated message: a belief in humankind and a hope for a better future in a reality of war and terror. He encourages us to ponder the dilemmas of peace, defense, and life in Israel.

Please note: This is mature content geared toward adults and teens 16 and older.
