October 10, 2021 @ 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Description: Join jkidphilly LGBTQ+ families at The Farm at Awbury Arboretum in Mt. Airy for a fun afternoon of free, family-friendly activities: See the goats and chickens, go on farm tours, and get your hands dirty in gardening workshops. This is a great opportunity to spend some time outdoors while getting to know other queer Jewish families in Philly. We will meet at the Welcome Lawn (see map) at 2:00pm and meander around together from there.

Covid Policy: For our in-person events, we’ll work together to take care of our community by:

  • Wearing masks (all attendees 2 and up) at in-person events regardless of vaccination status;
  • Registering in advance to assure that we have room to socially distance (all programs will be limited to 10 people); and
  • Staying at home if anyone in the family has cold, cough, fever, or other symptoms, or has been exposed to anyone with Covid-19.

Accommodations: Thanks to a generous grant from the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia, we are able to provide accommodations for any child or family member with a disability to attend jkidphilly events. If you need an accommodation such as an ASL interpreter, a sensory toolbox, or even behavior support for your child, or if you have questions about the accessibility of any program or venue, please note so on our form or contact us. In most cases, our staff will need two weeks’ notice to provide accommodations, but we will do our best to meet your needs on any timeframe.
